The San Diego Epiphyllum Society was formed more than 50 years ago to encourage
the study and growing, collecting and displaying of epiphyllum hybrids and related
epiphytic species. The society works to develop public education and support and
maintains a Facebook page, a YouTube channel, a website and publishes a full-color
monthly newsletter.

Meetings are held
January through November on the 2nd Wednesday at 7:30 p.m.
in Balboa Park, Casa del Prado, Room 101.
An Epi Care Workshop is held prior to each meeting at 7 p.m. in Room 104.
SDES’s annual show and sale is held every Mother’s Day at Casa del Prado.

For more than 40 years, SDES has partnered with the horticulture department at the San Diego Zoo’s Safari Park
to grow, maintain and display a collection of epiphytic species and hybrids.
